My New Year's Eve and New Years!

Welcome to 2018 everyone! I hope that everyone has had a great start to the new year! I am having a good start to the year! We are a week in and I have a lot to say about 2017. Also, this week past week is my last week of freedom as I start working on 1/8!!! The day after this, I go back to work. As you might have read from previous posts, I haven't been working since I moved out here. But, on another note, if you read my New Year's post, New Year's Day is very special to me!
New Year's Day is my anniversary with my boyfriend. We had met in person five months before and had been talking for a month or so. In total, I have been my man for six months prior and it has been a fun almost two years. There are many holidays and birthdays from November thru June. Plus, December thru February gets a little crazy because, we all know Christmas is in December, January is our anniversary, Valentine's Day is my birthday. Then in March is my brother's birthday and St. Paddy's Day (if anyone doesn't know this, I am part Irish!!). April is a bunch of birthdays from my boyfriend to a bunch of family members. Needless to say, every month of the year is packed with birthdays and things.
So for this NYE, I expected to stay home and have a cozy night in with my man and ring in the New Year like we did last year. But, to my surprise, we went out with his sister and boyfriend to dinner and a movie! First, my boyfriend told me to get dressed up and he picked my dress and shoes. My shoes were cute but they hurt my feet! I didn't know how much walking we would be doing. So, I get ready by doing my makeup. For those who know me, I love to get to do my makeup and I haven't done that in a long time! Then we both got dressed up. Now the only time I have ever seen my man dressed up was to go to court, but it was a nice change of pace. Then, all four of us got in the car and drove to the movies first. My boyfriend and I got out of the car and went to the movie theater. I thought we were going to see a movie first, but the time difference was almost two hours. So then we rushed across the way to Red Robin and had dinner. It was nice because it wasn't so busy and service was good.

Once dinner was over, back to the movies we went to see All the Money in the World. This is a movie based on the real events of the Getty kidnapping in the 1970s. Now, I don't know much about the Gettys and the movies was fun to watch. Getting to see the head of the Getty family play a huge role in the life or death of his "favorite" grandson Paul Getty (John Paul Getty III). It was a nice way to end 2017. The movie ended fifteen minutes before midnight. Now, we all had plans to come home and play games before the ball... but we all rushed in because it was FREEZING COLD and my boyfriend and I rushed in our room to watch the ball drop and do the typical NYE things since New Years is our anniversary!
Now, what did we actually do on our anniversary one may ask?!? We stayed home. It was too cold to do anything and that made me sad. It was our first anniversary and I wanted to go out to dinner again. But, we didn't want to brave the freezing and wanted to stay warm. We ate dinner and watched a movie and then went to bed.

I hope that everyone had a great and safe New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! Check back next week for a new post! Talk to you then y'all!!
