Statement Here Please ;)

Hey everyone. I know that everyone has their own spin on the classic make of the past. If it is a dramatic cat eye liner to a bold statement lip, but making it all look normal can be a tad tricky. Lately I have been wondering how I would feel with a simply eye and a bold red lip. To me this reminds me of that classic old time actress from the 20s when things were glamorous and statements were all over the place. Keep reading to find out how I got to these looks.
As you see in the photo above I have a bright red lip and a dark red lip. Me personally, I love the dark red lip and either a simply eye or a dramatic eye. All of the products that I used are mine and all from the drugstore but my concealer.

To start I used the Maybelline The Nudes palette which is a great add to anyone's collection. I used the gold shadow on the bottom row and patted it all over the lid. Next I took my liquid liner in black and lined the top lash line. If you would like to line the lower water line as I do then use your favorite product(s) to do so. I use my fav gel liner from Maybelline and set it with the black shadow in the palette. Add your favorite mascara and then you are all finished for the day time look. At that point, you can keep is simply with a nude lip or lip balm... or add a pop of color. As you see in the photo, I used a red lip color that I can't remember what.

To take the day to night, retouch your base eye look and remove your lip color that is currently on. Now starting with a light hand and a little amount of black shadow, start to apply on the outer third of your eye and drag it down to the lower lashline. You can keep building the black up toyour desired darkness. I would alwaysreapply my eyeliner because I am an eyeliner junkie!!! By dragging the black under it h helps to set the eyeliner. Then I would apply a darker red color. Again, I do not remember where or what what color this is, but when I find them I will update this post. Then I would set this with setting spray and spend my night on the town.

Again, this look reminds me of the Roaring 20s and the fun times and care-freee nature the period was. I love that eyeliner and mascara was all that was needed to create a look! Again, everything is from the drugstore and inexpensive.

I hope that this makeup look is fun for y'all to try. Talk to you guys next week!
