Hey everyone and happy February! This is going to be a cold month here in PA where I live and trying to look for a place to live is taking a toll. But, I will vent the stresses of trying to find a place in a post in the future. This month is going to be about looking and feeling good about yourself and my looks for birthday and Valentine's Day... which happen to be the same day but I am going to post some photos of looks to inspire!

  Hello everyone and happy February!!! AKA happy birthday month to me :) and to everyone else that is born this month. This past week has been an interesting week. From work downsizing and people leaving, it is getting crazy. I am looking for a new job and trying to find one where I can work from home... It is hard but I will try to find something. But, I am planning posts for this month from Valentine's Day looks to my birthday makeup look... which I haven't  even planned yet. But, I do know what I am doing on the day before my birthday, but y'all should keep an eye out for my Instagram for that and I am looking forward to that day!

Statement Here Please ;)

Hey everyone. I know that everyone has their own spin on the classic make of the past. If it is a dramatic cat eye liner to a bold statement lip, but making it all look normal can be a tad tricky. Lately I have been wondering how I would feel with a simply eye and a bold red lip. To me this reminds me of that classic old time actress from the 20s when things were glamorous and statements were all over the place. Keep reading to find out how I got to these looks.

My New Year's Eve and New Years!

Welcome to 2018 everyone! I hope that everyone has had a great start to the new year! I am having a good start to the year! We are a week in and I have a lot to say about 2017. Also, this week past week is my last week of freedom as I start working on 1/8!!! The day after this, I go back to work. As you might have read from previous posts, I haven't been working since I moved out here. But, on another note, if you read my New Year's post, New Year's Day is very special to me!

Seaside Weekend!!!

This weekend is going to be a GREAT WEEKEND!!! When this is posted, I will be in Seaside Heights for one of my favourite events to attend. The title might say I am having fun. But, I am working and enjoying time with family. Not my blood relatives but my Legion family. This weekend in POW/MIA weekend. This has been an event I attend every year since I was in sixth grade I think. I don't remember. This is an American Legion event that is open to the public. If you are in NJ and want to learn something, join in on the education!!! And it is right at the end of the boardwalk. It's a win-win I think.
It is an all night flag retirement service that has different services and readings of POWs and MIAs from different wars. This is a somber event in my opinion. The opening services are a great way to learn what goes on. This is one of few that are all night. And as an Auxilary member, I am proud to be part of a great organization.

This is the time where I get catch up with people from SouthJersey. I do not get to see them often since I am based in Northen New Jersey. I love talking with my friends and others. If I need a break from everything, I can just wander on the boardwalk and come back.
Once I am tired and need to sleep, I go back to my hotel room that I share with my dad since it is usually the two of us. Then we head back to the beach for the closing service and breakfast after. Once everything is packed up, it is time to drive back home.
This year it is from Friday September 18th to Saturday September 19th 7pm to 7am.

Seaside Here I Come!!!

The McCloskeys are coming Seaside!!! It is another year of a watchfire! When this gets posted I will probably be working my tail off setting up and cooking all night. But on the flip side is that a nice fire will be keeping me warm until I get cozy in the hotel room to sleep. But if y'all check my Instagram and you'll see all of the beautiful photos of Seaside, my family, and everything going on!!! And I will be taking video of my weekend and hopefully post it on YouTube. 2013-2014 Photos

Clambake 2014!!!

Hello everyone.
Recently on the 16th, the Legion post I belong to hosted a clambake ran by the SAL (Sons of the American Legion) and it was fun!!! Every year the SAL have this fundraiser to raise money to pay bills and give money to a variety of charities that all three organization within the American Legion support.

Everything starts the night before bagging clams (which I stopped doing) and more preparing the foods and other things for Saturday. On the day of, the grills are set up and the beer truck is getting ready. Tables and chairs I think are done the day before. People are allowed to put up a tent to reserve a table. And as 1pm gets close the line forms and the food is getting heated.

The doors open at 1pm and I help at the entrance with my aunt. She can't do math so I am in charge of stamping hands, giving out the door prize tickets, and proofing those who look to young to drink. Once you go past us then you can go get your food and drink and listen to the live band and have fun until 5pm. Once it is over clean up begins and it goes fast. I love it!!!

It is always fun to see my Legion family and catch up on things and just pick up where the year before ended. I don't have any photos because  I was so busy running around between the table and going to Shoprite :/   idk anymore what to say. I can't wait until 2015 clambake and I will be able to drink!!! But I wont because I am a responsible adult!!!
