Bold Blue

Allo everyone! This is the first of a number in a series I am going to call the "Color Series". This is something that I thought about for a year and I figured I would get a start on it. Once a month I will write up an article that is all about a certain color. Now, I don't know how long this series will be since I only have a few select colors, but this will be fun! I would love you y'all to give your input and make this fun! Don't forget to try some of these looks at home!

Today in this color series we are in the blues. Since we are now into winter, I figured we would start with a color that is associated with winter! I love the color blue because I have brown eyes and it makes my eyes pop! But we all wear blue in some capacity. From blue jeans to a blue shirt or from blue nails to blue eyeliner... blue is everywhere you can find.

First things first fashion: I don't have many blue clothes besides a blue sweater and few pairs of blue jeans. The sweater is from Dress Barn and it is a few years old. It is a nice option to wear when I get sick of wearing the same thing to work. Dress Barn is a great place to shop for anything. I have trouble finding clothes because not many stores offer clothing to plus size and this store accommodates everyone! I even found a dress for a wedding in there! Plus, they have great deals so click here to go to see what they have!
Second beauty! I love diving into makeup because that is where I get to express myself and experiment with new products and techniques! I wear blue a lot if it is not on my nails, it is my eyeliner! I will occasionally wear blue eyeshadow but a certain shade of blue is required. Let's talk nails.
Now let's talk eyes! I love using blue to make my eyes pop and stand out. I only use two products that are blue: Urban Decay eyeshadow "Evidence" and Maybelline eyeliner "Lustrious Sapphire". I also have a cream eyeshadow from Maybelline that is no longer available. But, when I want to wear the blue, that is the only color I wear and I keep the rest of my makeup simple. I first apply an eyeshadow primer and set that with a shade that is close to my skin tone. Then I would apply either the eyeliner or the cream eyeshadow. If I am just wearing the eyeliner, I would apply the eyeliner and then apply the eyeshadow to set the liner. Apply a few coats of mascara and finish with the rest of your makeup routine. If I was wearing the cream shadow, I would start the same way and set with the eyeshadow.
I like to wear dark blue eyeliner because it makes my light brown eyes stand out and it makes them pop! I hope you like this series that will be once a month and be on the lookout for the next one!
