Curly Hair Don't Care
Hey everyone. I hope all are doing well and for those in America, I hope y'all had a good holiday.
I just want to say that I know that I have been not posting on here much since I have moved out of state and I am still getting settled and trying to find a job, but I will post about that another time.
But this post is going to be about something that I don't share often and that is my curly hair. In many of my photos and Insta posts, I have straight hair. But on occasion, I do let my hair go natural and curly. Very very curly my hair is and I do take the time to get my hair straight.
When I leave my hair curly, it takes a massive amount of time and products to keep it curly.
It all starts in the shower with a good conditioner. I don't shampoo too often because I was taught that shampooing curls often will dry my hair out. I leave the conditioner in for fifteen to thirty minutes, all depends on how long I feel like. Next, I use a leave-in conditioner or a hair oil to lock in the moisture. Then the fun part, drying my hair.
There are many ways that a curly girl will dry her hair and there are many articles online from the pros regarding this matter. I use a Turbi-Towel to dry my hair to get most of the water out of my hair. Sometimes, I do use an old t-shirt out of convenience. Once I am done drying my hair, I use a couple of products to keep the frizz at bay and the curls in shape. The main brand of choice is Garnier for all of my styling needs, from keeping it surly or getting it straight.
Recently I received a voxbox from Influenster with some hair products that I use to keep my hair curly and since I have used them in the past, it was easy to incorporate into my routine. In the box were two great products, the Curl Shape Gel and the Curl Construct Mousse.
The products are great to keep wavy, curly, and coils in line. The gel doesn't give that traditionally crunchy feels which I HATE!!! And the gel comes in the spray bottle and it is easy to use. I use the gel after I use a hail oil to battle the frizz. The gel is easy to manipulate into making ringlets. Once I am done with the gel, I finger comb my curls and then finish with a frizz guard spray. Then that's it.
I hope that this helps other curly girls and if you have any tricks for your curls, please share! I am always learning and want to try new things. Have a good one.
Shannon
