New Eyeshadow That I Love!!!

Allo friends and today I thought I would share with you a new find that I am in love with!!!

One of my favourite things to do is walk around drugstores and look for new products to try or that I can't find at Harmon. So on my latest trip, I went to Kmart and buy just hair dye; but per usual I bought much more! But I am going to tell you about one product that I have fallen in love with.

If you know me, my signature colour on my lids now is Maybelline Pomegranate Punk and it looks amazing with my dark hair and light brown eyes. Also I can't really do green anymore without looking like a Christmas tree with the red hair. Back on track, I have been looking for a shadow to layer on top to keep the color in place. So, I purchases e.l.f. Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow in Soiree. This is a very similar color to Pomegranate Punk and I was so happy!

When I got on I opened it and it wasn't a powder shadow. It was a whipped shadow. Something I have never tried before and it was a color I loved! So I have been wearing this on top of Maybelline masterkajal in Onyx Rush so it gives a depth on the dark side like me!

After I smudge the kajal all over the lid, I use a clean finger and apply the Soiree on top of the black leaving the outer corner blank if you would like to use a black matte shadow on the outer corner. Then I finish the rest of the look and I am done!!!

The one thing that I love about e.l.f. cosmetics is that they are inexpensive, easy on the wallet and widely available in a store near you! With makeup to tools to gifts there are many things to choose from!

I am not sponsored by any of the companies mentioned and I purchased everything with my money.

Hope you all have a great weekend and talk to you soon!
Here are the links to e.l.f. and Maybelline if you'd like to see the products that I used and the rest of what they have to offer!

Explanation!

Allo everyone! I am going to a service to remember POWs and MIAS= Prisoners of War and Missing In Action. As part of weekend we properly retire both American and POW flags. There are services throughout the night and one of them is the meaning of the single table. Then we have another reading of the names of current POWs/MIAs. Below is a photo and the meaning of the table. I did my senior option project on the organization that I have been a part of since I was a little girl.

The table is set for one: symbolizes the frailty of one prisoner against their oppressor.
Tablecloth is white: symbolic of purity of their intentions to respond their country’s call to arms.
A single rose: Reminds us of the families
and loved ones of our comrades who
 kept faith awaiting their return.
A red ribbon around the vase: reminds of the red ribbon worn on the lapel and breast of thousands who bear witness to this tragedy; with unyielding determination demand a proper accounting of our missing.
Lemon slice: bitter fate of the POWs and MIAs
Salt on the plate:  the families tears and they wait.
Inverted glass: cannot toast with us tonight

Empty chair: they are not here

We have the watch fire in Seaside Heights, NJ on the beach at the end of the boardwalk. It is held on the third weekend of September since that is POW/MIA recognition weekend.  I help out from prep, helping my da cook, keeping the fire going by retiring the flags, then crashing at midnight because I am so flamed out from the long day. Then another service at 7am to close it out until the next year.  I will be posting a blog when I come home Sunday or Monday; shall see how I feel when I am home. I can't wait to my Legion family in South Jersey and have a small break from my crazy work and daily life!!!

Talk to y'all soon and have a fun and safe last weekend of summer!!!

Boring day!

Allo friends!!! Today is a cold morning and I thought that I would give y'all a peak into my Monday! WARNING: IT IS NOTHING FUN but it is my start of the week.

Also my best friend has been staying with me and I have been taking her to and from work when I can. FYI

I am doing the time in military time because that is what comes naturally to me.

6:15: wake up. My best friend worked at 7 and it is about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Start the car so he can warm up and the both of us get dressed.

6:45: start the journey to work :(

7:15: came home and started to watch tv and clean up my floor- aka my bed

I also take this time to catch up on my DVR recordings and catch up on watchin YouTube videos

9:00: Laundry time! I am seriously running out of clothes and it is getting colder plus I am going away for the weekend; and there will be a post on what I am doing since I have to explain it and it's a Legion event. Can't wait to see my friends from South Jersey! Seaside The Red Head aka my da and I are coming Saturday!

11:00: paint my nails. I bought the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Base and Top Coat in Black-O. I have never had gel nails before so this is new for me. But the brush for the top coat was messed up so I used the one from the polish so I could do the top coat. I finished doing my nails around 11:30 and just letting them dry completely so there are no smudges.

12:20: I am making lunch, Da and I went grocery shopping and from what we bought, I am making a fish sandwich and chips aka fries!!! So excited! When it gets closer to finishing I will toast a ciabatta roll and dress the sandwich the same way  I would eat fish & chips which is just ketchup, salt, and pepper. Whilst waiting I am going to snack on a tomato and eat shortly, After, I eat I think that I will do my makeup! Maybe... shall see...  I might since I have dark nails on and going to stay in the dark theme.

14:05: folding laundry whilst watchin tv

15:15: dressed and start makeup

15:45-15:50: start driving to work

16:00-19:00: work

19:15: home from work and look for something to eat for dinner

After this, it is mostly boring unless I go out with my friends. I usually relax and watch some tv, watch movies, Netflix, or YouTube.

Hope y'all enjoyed this post and talk to you soon!!!

Weekend Blues

This weekend was an interesting one at best.

Friday was filled with errands and a lost car part. I was running errands and it was going well until my temp gauge started to rise. I was on my way to get my brother and  I pulled over in Horseshoe Lake. I popped the hood and to my shock a cap was missing. The cap to my antifreeze was missing. That explained a lot. As I was about to freak out, a man and his son pulled up next to the car and asked me if I needed help. He offered to take me to the gas station and to pick up the royal pain in my ass. The both of them were very kind and helpful. Once we got back to the car, Sean and I went to Autozone to see if they had a cap; surer that sh*t they didn't have one and I couldn't call mum since she had left work. But Monday is another day to get the cap. So for now, there is tape over it so I can travel short distances. My poor poor Earl( the name of my car) is old and needs some tender loving care. But he is my rust bucket and I'll drive until I can't no more. Then, I hung out with Veronika from 7:30ish until 12:30ish. I was getting late and I needed to get some rest since I had work in the morning.

As Friday came to a close and the Saturday sun rose, per usual I didn't want to go to work. Also, not want to take Sean to work. But I did and sat in the parking lot at working until it was time to walk into work. Time goes by so slow on the weekends and to be frank, it f*&^ing s*$ks. Once work was over I came home to snack, change, and went to my aunt's house. Her car is in the shop so I drove her around so she can run errands. This is always our time to catch up and bond. While we were shopping we went to look and nail polish. Since it is football season, we were looking for a Giants blue since we love the Giants. But instead of getting blue, we got a red. Whilst looking at the polish, I found two colors that I will go back and buy. One is a pretty teal by Sally Hansen and the other by POI called 'Lincoln Park After Dark" which is a dark burgundy color. Stepping out of my comfy zone y'all.  I love my aunt so much, she is truly my other mother. After I left I had plans until my best friend's mom called me and my night changed. I went to see what was going on and wow. I am still in shock about what has happened. So instead of relaxing with my friends, I was comforting my best friend and trying calm things down.

Now on Sunday morning, we both got up since she had to work at 7 and I drove her since she doesn't have a car. Whilst she is working, I will go about my day and wait until she needs me to come get her. Hopefully things will calm down and I can drink a nice cup of tea to wind down the night but we shall see.  And I did end my night off with a cup of tea!!!

Homemade Strawberry Lemonade Pops!!! Great Way to Cool Off!

Allo and welcome back! Today I will be sharing an experiment that my friends and I came up with on a late night and it was delicious!

We were shopping at the store and I saw ice pop mold for $.99 and I was getting them. All I needed was something to fill the molds with. We originally went to the store for mac n cheese and come out with more than I really wanted to spend.

So I picked up lemonade and strawberries. The whipped was was going to go in the ice pop but I never did.

First things first, you will need:
 ice pop molds
fresh or frozen fruit of your choice
water, juice, or lemonade of your choice
 blender

Add in the fruit(s) and liquid(s) of your choice. I chose strawberries and lemonade since I thought that it would be delicious! But you can add whatever tickles your fancy. I would make a peach, mango, and strawberry pop! Once you blend to the consistency your happy with, pour the mixture into the molds.
To my surprise, I should have bought two molds because I made enough for two molds. Fill the molds not to the top but just enough to make a good cast. Place in the freezer for 4-8 hours or overnight. Once completely frozen, all that is left to do is take the pops out and enjoy!

The molds that I picked up have a straw built-in the base so as the pop melts, you can drink the liquid when your done or as you eat. I have to say, it was a successful late night run to the store and can't wait to do it again with other combinations! Hope y'all give these a try and post your photos! Talk to you soon!
