German Nails!

Heyy y'all its Shanon and today's post is about how I did my nails to represent the German National Team in the World Cup!!! And for those who have no idea what I am talking about, FIFA World Cup comes every four years and everyone becomes a HUGE and I mean HUGE soccer fan since its your home country playing if they qualify to play. Now since I live in America and the US team got knocked out by Belgium, the Dutch and German national teams are left for me to root for. I am not Dutch in any way shape or form, but I am part German and both teams look amazing and are playing phenomenally!!!

So I could talk about the games all day but this is about the nails and here we go!

  1. Apply a base coat to all of your nails, I used the Sally Hansen Diamond Base and Top Coat and let it dry
  2. Paint all of your nails any color you would like or that compliments the flag. I chose to use Essie's Over the Edge". Paint two coats on all of your nails except your ring finger!
  3. While your nails are drying, time to create the German flag! #GER You will need yellow, red, and black polishes. I used a yellow stripper from my friend, OPI's I'm Not Really A Waitress, and  Sinful Color's Black on Black. But you can use any yellow, red, or black to achieve this look.
  4. First, I used the yellow stripper to get the yellow strip of the German flag. Keep the stripper still and roll your finger to get a straight line as you can. Then fill in under the yellow line you have just created!
  5. Then take your red polish and paint the remaining exposed nail. Two thin coats are always better than one thick coat!
  6. Once the red dries, then make a band of black. Once you apply the second coat of black, let everything dry.
  7. Then apply a quick drying top coat to protect your design and your done!! I used the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat
I hope y'all enjoyed this nail art design! Please share your recreations on twitter and instagram #fifaworldcupnails on my profiles and next might be a make-up look for both the fourth of July and the USA national team. even though they are out.

    talk to you next time!!
       -shannon!
